Inspiration on a Bracelet

Chippewa Intermediate School’s 5th graders kicked off the new year with a creative and meaningful activity: the One Word Challenge. Students chose a word to guide their year, turning their intentions into personalized bracelets.

The new year started with inspiration and creativity for Chippewa Intermediate School’s 5th graders. As part of the One Word Challenge, students reflected on their goals and aspirations for the year ahead, selecting a single word to focus on. This word would serve as a guiding principle, reminding them of their intentions and encouraging personal growth.

Taking their challenge to the next level, the students turned their words into wearable works of art. Each student designed and created a bracelet featuring their chosen word, blending creativity with self-expression. Words like “Courage,” “Kindness,” “Focus,” and “Hope” adorned colorful beads, showcasing the individuality and positivity of each participant.

This activity not only sparked thoughtful reflection but also promoted mindfulness and goal-setting among students. By wearing their bracelets, they carry a daily reminder of their aspirations, helping them stay motivated and make positive choices throughout the year.

The One Word Challenge is a beautiful example of how Chippewa encourages students to think critically, embrace creativity, and set meaningful goals for their future.
