Creativity in Action.

From backstage sign-ups to hosting festivals and contests, January is packed with exciting opportunities and performances for our choir and drama programs.

January is an exciting month for Chippewa’s choir and drama programs, filled with opportunities for students to shine both on and off the stage.

Backstage Crew sign-ups for the CIS musical Alice in Wonderland Jr. are happening this week and are on the choir room door. Students can join one of several crews: Wardrobe/Makeup, Stage Crew, Tech Crew, or Front of House Crew (ushers/tickets). These roles are crucial for bringing the production to life!

On Wednesday, January 22, Chippewa will proudly host the Wayne County Play Festival, welcoming seven schools to showcase their talents from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The event will feature an array of performances, celebrating the creativity and hard work of students across the county. The snow date is set for January 23.

On January 26, choir students will participate in the OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest at Barberton High School. This all-day event features soloists and ensembles performing in a variety of skill classes. These performances showcase months of preparation and highlight the incredible talent within our choir program.

We’re proud of all our students’ dedication and can’t wait to see their hard work come to life this month. Stay tuned for updates and wish them the best as they perform and compete!
