The Third Grade Reading Guarantee

At Chippewa Local Schools, we are proud to support Ohio’s Third Grade Reading Guarantee, ensuring that every young Chipp builds a strong foundation in reading. This program identifies students in kindergarten through grade 3 who need extra support and provides targeted interventions to help them achieve reading success by the end of third grade. As Chipps, we are committed to helping our students reach these critical milestones with personalized resources, instructional tools, and family guidance every step of the way.

The Science of Reading

At Chippewa Local Schools, we use the Science of Reading—an evidence-based approach that focuses on phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension—to help every student become a confident, skilled reader. Through targeted instruction, engaging activities, and proven strategies, we provide the tools students need to decode words, understand text, and develop a lifelong love of reading, ensuring all learners build a strong foundation for future success.

PBIS Program

At Chippewa Intermediate School, we are dedicated to nurturing a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
