Mrs. Wolfeās Honors English 9 students combined creativity and strategy by producing Super Bowl-style commercials, showcasing their mastery of rhetorical appeals.
In Mrs. Wolfeās Honors English 9 class, students dove into the art of persuasion by designing and producing their own Super Bowl commercials. Each group selected a product, service, or cause to promote, applying their knowledge of rhetorical appealsālogos, ethos, and pathosāto craft compelling messages for a specific audience.
The halls of Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School became bustling film sets as students collaborated to write scripts, direct scenes, and film their commercials. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as students fine-tuned their strategies, balancing logic, credibility, and emotional appeal to leave a lasting impression.
This project not only reinforced key concepts from their curriculum but also offered a hands-on, real-world experience in communication and teamwork. The results were both entertaining and thought-provoking, showcasing the creativity and effort of our talented Chipps!
