Junior High Coders Bring Their Bots to Life
Programming in Action.
Students in Mrs. Wilcox’s Junior High coding class are running their own coded programs on individually constructed bots, turning their learning into hands-on innovation.
Mrs. Wilcox’s Junior High coding students are taking their programming skills to the next level by running self-written code on bots they built themselves. This hands-on approach allows students to see their code in action, testing logic, problem-solving, and creativity in real time.
Through trial and error, students debugged their programs and refined their code to get their bots moving, making decisions, and responding to commands. The excitement in the classroom was electric as each bot successfully executed its programmed tasks!
This project not only strengthens coding fundamentals but also fosters critical thinking and perseverance—skills that will serve students well in future STEM opportunities.
