Subject: Honoring Dedication and Welcoming New Faces

Mr. Todd Osborn
Superintendent

Dear Chippewa Families,

Chippewa is buzzing with great news and we’re proud to celebrate our students, recognize dedicated
staff members and welcome new faces ready to make a difference.

Big changes are on the horizon as Treasurer Ira Hamman prepares to retire at the end of the school
year. While we’ll miss him, Chippewa has a solid plan to keep things running smoothly. The district
will first partner with Shared Services Alliance (SSA) before longtime math teacher Ken Gasser
officially takes the reins as treasurer on June 1, 2026. Gasser, who has dedicated nearly 20 years to
teaching math and supervising our Robotics Program in our district, is no stranger to numbers. With a
Master of Arts in Mathematics and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, he’s ready to
take on a new challenge. Before officially stepping into the treasurer role in 2026, he will spend the
next year as an intern, learning the ins and outs of school finance to help keep our district’s budget in
top shape.

We’re also taking a moment to celebrate Board of Education member Linda Fenn, who was honored
for ten years of service. Reno Contipelli of the Ohio School Boards Association presented her with a
well-earned recognition, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her commitment to our schools.
Chippewa is excited to welcome Nicole McGervey as the new junior/senior high school guidance
counselor. A graduate of Walsh University’s Counseling and Human Development program,
McGervey brings experience from Sandy Valley High School and a passion for helping students
navigate the twists and turns of junior high and high school. Whether it’s academic advice, career
planning or just having someone to talk to, she’s ready to support our students every step of the way.
I would also like to thank the following people personally for their dedication and commitment to
Chippewa Local Schools: Marilyn Roehrich, Linda Matye, Brenda Wilson, Joan Kays and Michael
Santee, who are retiring this year. Please enjoy your retirement and thank you for all your
contributions to Chippewa Local Schools.

I’d also like to give a round of applause to our incredible staff, students, families and community for
making Chippewa such a special place. Your support and dedication keep our schools strong, and
we’re looking forward to all the exciting moments still to come!

Go Chipps!
Todd Osborn
